My Story

The idea of making a difference in the world has been a lifelong inner pull and push.  Discovering what that means and my place in the order of things has been and continues to be a journey.

I admired my parents paper writer – my dad valued learning above all else and talked about eliciting the best in people. My mom honored her entrepreneurial desire at a time when women were supposed to stay at home. I began the first 10 years of my quest as a staff psychologist in community mental health working term paper writing with an at risk population. They taught me a lot about the resilience of the human spirit. But I was trying to save the world, and it was exhausting! I pursued an MBA and joined the emerging ranks of women in the 1980’s intent on breaking into the corporate world of men on Wall Street in Operations & Technology. Across 15 years I learned the power potential of teams, not “sweating the small stuff” and the huge impact of appreciating and empowering people.   Being (quit) a bit of a workaholic, by 1999, I was feeling physically and mentally depleted and realized that “work wasn’t working for me anymore.” I had been exploring personal development in Holotropic Breathwork®, bioenergetic work, various co-coaching style groups and spiritual practice. I was experiencing the mazing power of groupwork. Finally, around the millennium, I took a sabbatical and immersed myself in body-centered complementary modalities (Reiki, reflexology, cranial-sacral balancing, and Touch for Health™ kinesiology, Emotional Freedom Technique). I spent time in the Ecuadorian rain forest, Andean foothills and here in the US with indigenous teachers.  When I invested in Coach Maria Nemeth’s workshop “the energy of money” expecting a seminar on fiscal planning for my next career path, I discovered the world of coaching and never looked back. I continued on with CTI’s certification and leadership program and in 2008 found a special fit with health and wellness coaching.

I’m passionate about sharing knowledge, empowering people their own unique path and the power of groups. I also believe in the power of an integrated body, mind emotion approach to coaching. We are after all so much more than out brain – and advances in neuroscience confirm that our brain is our body!  I offer individual and group coaching and am on the Faculty of Real Balance Global Wellness Services, Inc. teaching the health and wellness coach certification program, group wellness coaching and mentoring new coaches.
